About Krystal
Krystal Skeen aka Whimsical Krystal, is a professional illustrator and award-winning author. With the League of Utah Writers, she was Awarded Honorable Mention for Best New Writer in 2019, as well as earning first place finishes in Fantasy, Romance and Flash Fiction, pieces later traditionally published by LUW Press. She is lucky enough to make her money as a curriculum writer, editor, and artist and has been for the last six years. She also teaches at a nonprofit for students with learning disabilities, having fun with kids whose brains work more like hers (she's dyslexic). Krystal makes it her quest in life to be as adventurous as her characters, sailing the seas of Alaska, practicing with her longsword, and attending masquerade balls in hopes she'll find love there (she did, shoutout to Mr. Skeen).

About the Brand and
kind horizons Charity
Krystal started designing products that didn't exist (yet) in the world, hoping to add color and whimsy to others' lives. Swords, flowers, books and fantasy elements abound in the collections.
When she started her business, Krystal wanted to be able to give something to others, which is why she plans to work with local charities in the coming year to get art kits and necessary supplies into the hands of kids in foster care and others in women shelters. Once the store opens, 100% of net proceeds from any product with the Phoenix design go towards the charity, and people can also donate directly on the website soon.
